How we work
An engineer inside your business, not a report about it
The industry calls this a forward deployed engineer. In plain terms: we don't build it outside and hand it over β we come in and do it with you. Handing it over is exactly where the last two waves died.
We never tell you what your business should do
You understand your trade a hundred times better than we do, and pretending otherwise is how consultants lose the room in the first ten minutes. We bring one thing you don't have: the layer that translates your work into what a machine can actually take on β where it holds, where it breaks, what it costs, and which vendor sentence is a trap.
The owner has to be in the room
Not signing off β using it. This is the single strongest predictor of whether any of it survives after we go. If the plan is to have us report to someone who reports to you, we'll say so before you spend money.
What we build stays yours
Running process, plus your company's own judgment written down in a form a machine can follow. Both are yours to keep, and the second one is the part your competitors can't buy β they can buy exactly the same AI as you.
We're finished when you're bored of us
Our failure mode is leaving too early, before a habit has formed inside your team. So the marker we work towards isn't a launch date, it's the point where your people are already doing this without asking us.
What an engagement actually looks like
Sort the work
Together we put your actual weekly work into the four kinds. You fill it in; we supply the frame and tell you honestly which pieces AI is not ready for.
Move one thing
One category, end to end, in production, with someone other than the owner using it. Small on purpose β the point is to learn how your business reacts, not to look impressive.
Write down a judgment
We take one call your most experienced person makes by feel, get it out of their head, and put it somewhere a machine can follow. One at a time, kept separate.
Hand over the keys
Your people run it. We document what breaks and how to tell. Then we get out of the way.
Things we'd rather you heard from us first
In the near term this saves time, not headcount. If the business case you need is a reduced payroll, we're the wrong people and you'll find that out in month three anyway.
There will be rework in step two. That's the process working, not the process failing β but it does mean the first month looks worse than a slide deck would have.
Some of what you want isn't ready. We'd rather tell you which parts on the first call than discover it together at your expense.
Start with the free thing
Before talking to us, find out which of the four steps you're actually on. Ten questions, two minutes, no email needed to see the result.
